The living room at Pebble Cottage Shaldon has a bow sash window which looks out onto a small courtyard garden that catches the afternoon sunshine. With a decorative fireplace; this comfortable room has a freeview equipped TV and DVD player.

The separate dining-kitchen has been completely refurbished. It has a granite worksurface and fitted cupboards that have been customised to follow the quirky curves of the old cottage. The electric cooker has a ceramic hotplate and a convection oven.
There is a full size fridge-freezer; while the washing machine and tumble dryer are tucked away in a utility area next to the French doors at the rear of the kitchen.
There is a tiny rear courtyard to hang out your wetsuits and store all your beach gear.
Upstairs the front bedroom has a king size bed and a fitted shaker style wardrobe. The rear bedroom has two full size single beds and a large fitted wardrobe providing lots of storage. The bathroom has a newly fitted three piece suite with shower fitted over the bath. The design of the upstairs landing area uses two steps up to the bathroom and a step down into the twin bedroom. Please bear this in mind if you have very young children.
The stairs are narrow; and because of this there is no handrail; if you think this may be a problem for you please call us and we can give you more details.
The slipway to the river is 100 yards away with the quay a mere 3 minute stroll, with the river beach just beyond. The Ness beach is reached via the smugglers tunnel and is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. This is well worth a visit, and who knows, you may, like us, be lucky enough to spot a seal amongst the waves on this lovely unspoilt beach.
Please note that Pebble Cottage is a non smoking property; and that no pets are allowed. Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels.
Pebble Cottage is in a conservation area and as such please be aware that there may be occasional renovation and repair work on nearby cottages.
